MLM Companies – Which one is the best MLM?

GoAnimate.com: MLM Companies ~ Which Company Is The Best MLM? by Howie Perks

Making a choice on which MLM company is the best mlm can be a very hard decision. There are many factors to consider to sort out the good from the bad.

Most great MLM opportunities have many similar characteristics in common.

The top 5 are outlined below:

1 – What is the Product? Every great MLM company will have a product that has true value. Can the product stand alone without the network marketing structure? If so, then you are on the right track!

2 – Is the company Old or Young? The fact remains that most MLM companies fail within the 1st two years. So, choosing a “ground floor” opportunity can be very risky. Also, a company that has been around for many years has little room for market share for a new rep. Everyone already has heard of them. If you can find a company about 3 -5 years in business then you know they are past the point of failure but still has plenty of market share available.

3 – What type of Compensation Plan? If you investigate most of the top MLM’s, you will see a common denominator in the compensation plan they use. Most top MLM companies work with a binary “2 team” structure that is proven to work. Be very wary of the programs that have a “one-time” fee and promise big pay-outs.

4 – How big is the Industry? There are many different types of MLM’s to choose from. Juice, nutritional, telecommunication, make-up, coffee, and travel to name a few. Find one with an expanding market.

Finding MLM companies that have little competition in their industry is crucial.

5 – Will you get training? All great MLM Companies will have a solid training program in place. Make sure that you will get the help you need to be successful in your business. Also, make sure to partner with someone that can help you build your business through traditional methods and on the internet.

Most MLM companies fall short in teaching internet marketing.

  2. Great stuff Howie! It’s really so true that often we just jump in because of the hype of starting your own business, feeling the excitement and anticipation of it all, and then wow, did we make a mistake?

I really appreciate the points you laid out in helping make a decision! Very well thought out!

Thank, I just may have to repost! :)

  3. hi howie, first time i’m on your blog… glad to be connecting with you thru TSA. i read a lot about having “passion” for your biz op and would love to comment on that. i sell vitamins. i didn’t go looking to sell vitamins, but i decided it was an ideal vehicle to help me pursue what i’m super passionate about, which are my goals. thus, i don’t expect my prospects to get jazzed about selling vitamins either! i think what we need to get passion about is living our dreams and realize that network marketing doesn’t necessarily have to be our life’s work; it can be what enables us to pursue our dream life! thanks for the article howie…

Thanks Lorri! It can be hard for a new person in making an educated decision when there are so many bogus programs flying around on the internet.

    Hey Melissa,

Thanks for the comment! I agree with our company being a vehicle to be able to pursue our passions and dreams. This industry as a whole can help people find that in their lives. Stay true to your passions!

  6. This is actually a very important subject to cover. So many people just jump into an opportunity because their friends and family got them in it. We really should be educating people on what makes a good company. Thanks for sharing this.

Thanks Nicole! It’s always good to know a bit about what your getting in ;)

  8. Hey Howie…great points. I don’t think a whole host of people actually take a step back to consider what they are doing. For the same reasons they fail to do a bit of investigation is probably why most people don’t have much success…just a lack of a realistic approach to business. Any true business person certainly wouldn’t just jump into something without knowing full well what it is…but many people jump into mlm companies without even considering whether or not it is a do-able system for them. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Howie! Great Post! Look before you leap right? With the opportunity available in MLM it is most important to be educated and informed about what you are getting into. Thanks for the info.

  10. Hi Howie,

Sage advice indeed Sir! I’m just getting started and ultimately I’ve made my choices based on my own core values, what really interests me and quality products or services. In this way I feel I get the best of all things and I’m involved with projects that I’m genuinely passionate about.

Love the site design by the way!

    Regards,

    Andrew

Hey Andrew! Great that you just got started and are following your passions! Thanks for the compliment on the site. I designed it myself with a little trial and error ;) Howie

@ Bruce ~ yeah, I think many have an unrealistic approach to mlm. Thanks for the feedback!

@ Matt ~ Thanks for the comment!

  13. Deb Augur says:

Hi Howie, Your points also are good for non-MLM career choices. We should always think our choices through and represent something we can be proud of, at least that’s how I see it.

  14. Teach Jim says:

There are a couple of excellent “how to pick a company” recommendations out there. Training is not typically mentioned specifically. Instead they talk about leadership. I like to think of it as training.

I notice you do not mention timing in the industry, timing in the company and timing in your personal life. These are implied as you talk about how big is the industry. I wonder if considering not just how big it is but the potential of how big it can become might allow company shoppers to purchase with a little clearer vision.

    Thanks for these suggestions.

    Jim

  15. Jerry Ihejirika says:

I think the best company is the one that is right for you and you have a great passion to be associated with.
